Celebration Open House

Karen Society of Nebraska - Lincoln Chapter

Welcome to the Karen Society of Nebraska (KSN) open house, held on August 27 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at our office, located at 1021 D Street in Lincoln. We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us in celebrating this special occasion. Thank you to each and every one of you for attending and making this day truly memorable. We cherished the opportunity to spend time with all of you, sharing our achievements and vision for the future. Your presence and support make our success possible. If I missed greeting anyone personally due to the large turnout, please accept my sincere apologies.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our honored guests, including Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird, for her ongoing support and presence in celebrating with us, and Police Chief Teresa Ewins, Lincoln’s first female police chief, whose leadership and presence inspire us. We are also deeply grateful to the community and faith leaders who joined us; your guidance and partnership are invaluable as we work together to strengthen our community. To our partner agencies and the New American Task Force, your collaboration fuels our mission, and we are thankful for your dedication. A special mention goes to Maria Rauner, Recruiting Manager at Smart Chicken, for attending with her team and supporting our celebration. Lastly, we wish to express our deepest gratitude to Martha Sorenson, a dedicated volunteer who has given nine years of invaluable service to KSN; we are thrilled she could join us for this memorable occasion.

Once again, thank you all for your love, support, and commitment to making Lincoln a welcoming and vibrant community for everyone. Together, we create a wonderful experience for all. We look forward to many more moments of connection, support, and celebration in the future!
